Time to Stop and Think

Welcome! One of my friends encouraged me to create a blog on which to post the columns I write for my local newspaper twice a month.

I've named this blog after my mother, who as a young woman with eight children wrote a weekly column for her local newspaper and titled it, "Stolen Moments." How appropriate for her 40 years ago, and me, through a different medium and much different world, today.

Many of us are so busy being busy that we are guilty of "doing" more than "thinking." This is my opportunity to stop and think.

If it prompts anyone else to do the same or offers encouragement and support to some who read it, then my time at the keyboard has been well spent.
